CAR SHOW AND PRACTICE

SET FOR APRIL 26

(Cedar Rapids, Iowa April 11, 2008)- Hawkeye Downs Speedway will hold its annual Race Car Show on Saturday, April 26 from 10am-noon in the pits at the speedway.

Fans are invited to visit their favorite drivers and race teams and then move to the grandstand to watch a four hour open practice session for all quarter-mile and half-mile divisions.

Due to the large number of rookie drivers in the Miller Lite Late Model division fans cans expect that division to see at least one hour of track time alone.

In addition to the Miller Lite Late Models fans can expect to see drivers from all of the 2008 divisions on the track.

Joining the Miller Lite Late Models in 2008 are the Coors Light Modifieds, Budweiser Mid-Am Sportsmen, Barron Motor Supply IMCA Stock Cars, Barron Motor Supply IMCA Hobby Stocks, Sunline 4-Cylinder Hornets and IMCA SportMods.

Admission to the Car Show and Practice is free.

Opening night for the 2008 racing season is Friday, May 2.
