TONY STEWART ENTERS THREE CARS AT FRIDAY'S USAC RACE

(Cedar Rapids, IA 6/1/04)--Tony Stewart wasn't able to

race in the Indianapolis 500, but he remains active in

Open Wheel racing with cars in USAC and the World of

Outlaws.

 

        This Friday night, when the USAC Sprint Cars come to

Cedar Rapids Hawkeye Downs Speedway, there will be

three cars racing entered by Tony Stewart Racing.

 

        The Tony Stewart Racing cars are driven by Dave

Steele of Tampa, FL (#20), Jay Drake of Val Verde, CA

(#20s), and Cory Kruseman of Ventura, CA (#21)

 

        All three drivers are highly regarded in USAC Racing.

 Drake leads the USAC Sprint National Championship;

Kruseman won the recent "Hulman Classic" in Terre

Haute, IN; and Steele is best known for earning a

$50,000 bonus by winning "Twin Features" at

Indianapolis Raceway Park in 2002.

 

        USAC Sprint Cars and Ford Focus Midgets highlight

Friday's program, which also includes ASA Papa John's

Cup point races for all three Hawkeye Downs half mile

divisions.

 

        Grandstand Gates open at Practice starts at 5pm.

USAC Sprint Time Trials start at 6:45pm, with Racing

at 7:30pm.

 

        Adult Grandstand Admission Friday is $15, Senior

Citizens and Students Admission is $10, and Children

11 and Under are admitted for $1.  Adult Grandstand $2
