CRD PROMOTIONS SHORT TRACK SATURDAY NIGHT
RESULTS FOR JUNE 1,2002
(Cedar Rapids, IA 06/02/02)—After a string a rainouts and a hiatus for the ASA Racing Series CRD Promotions “Short Track Saturday Night” took the green flag again Saturday night.
In the Lacey Plumbing Outlaw
Super Stocks, Jason Vincent scored the
win which broke Doug Simon’s streak. Scott Grady crossed the stripe in second
with Tim Dains third.
Dustin Lacey took top honors in
the Rock Solid Chassis Modified feature. The division had been dominated by
Dave Coghlan, Sr., coming into Saturday night. Tim Plummer and Derrick Bliss
ttok home second and third, respectively.
Dana Scott notched the win in
the Wholly Smokes Women On Wheels feature with the win putting her on top of
the point standings for that division.
Shellie Obrien-Perry was second while Jodi Cranston finished third.
In other action, the car
co-driven by Ron Dighton and Dave McCalla ttok the top spot in the Automotive
Fuel Systems Stock Car feature. Steve Snyder finished second with Mike Desotel
third. The Dighton/McCalla entry holds the lead in the current point standings.
Dan Thompson won the ‘B’ Feature
for the Automotive Fuel System Stock Cars with Jim Sheldon and Bobby Grandstaff
rounding out the top of the order.
The team of Matt Poduska and
Brian Dvorak won the always exciting Barron Motor Supply 2-Driver Cruiser
feature with the tandem of Scott Siems/Chris Shakepeare taking second. The
O’Brien Perry entry finished in third and also hold the point lead in the division.
Short Track Saturday Night
returns to action on June 13th.
