FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Cedar Rapids, IA 05/21/07)—The 35th Annual Keith Fleck Miller 100 presented by General Mills is set for June 1 at  ASA-Sanctioned Hawkeye Downs Speedway. The prestigious race for charity will feature the ASA Midwest Tour running 100 laps as well as events in the USAC Ford Focus Midgets and Miller Time Modifieds.

The ASA Midwest Tour is the brainchild of Steve Einhaus and Tim Olson with some  consulting help from John McKarns  and features a variety of engine and chassis packages that allow drivers from tracks throughout the Midwest to compete in the series.  Hawkeye Downs recently updated their Late Model rules and they are modeled after the ASA Midwest Tour rules.

Once the cars take to the track fans will see many familiar names on the track such as Steve Carlson, Kevin Cywinski, Charlie Menard, Donny Ruevers,  Jason Schneider and many others that have previously raced at Hawkeye Downs. Many other drivers currently in the series will be familiar to the fans who remember the ARTGO and Northern Series events that had successful runs at Hawkeye Downs in the past.

The first two events of the season for the ASA Midwest Tour at Elko Speedway (MN) and Jefferson Speedway (WI) drew huge fields of cars at each event so fans can expect a full field of Super Late Models, including several Hawkeye Downs regulars. The event at Elko Speedway saw 51 Super Late Models sign in while 40 entries were recorded at Jefferson Speedway.

This year the designated charity for the Miller 100 is the Boys/Girls Club of Cedar Rapids.

Advance Tickets for the Miller 100 are currently on sale at the Hawkeye Downs Business Office from 9-4 Mon-Fri or at Fleck Sales during regular business hours.

Admission prices are a reasonable $15 for Adults and Children 5-12 are just $5.

Further information will be released next week.
