(Cedar Rapids, IA 5/11/04)--After a cold and windy opening night, all six "ASA Papa John's Cup I-Wireless Championship" classes will be in action this Friday night, May 14 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway.  "Altorfer CAT Night" will feature Performance Concepts Late Models, Miller Time Modifieds, Budweiser Late Model Sportsmen, Barron Motor Supply Super Stocks, Marines.com IMCA Hobby Stocks, and Women On Wheels.

 

            This Friday's race will be the season debut of the Late Model Sportsmen and Women On Wheels.  In the other divisions, last Friday's opening night winners are the point leaders.

 

            Brad Osborn leads the Late Model division, ahead of last week's runner-up Jeff King.  Denny Osborn, Landon Cassill, and Chris Sevey round out the top five.

 

            Max Corporon leads the Modifieds, ahead of Arlo Becker, Cassill, Larry Clausen, and Tim Plummer. 

 

            Defending champ Bob Ahrendsen is off to a good start in Barron Motor Supply Super Stocks, leading the points over Dave McCalla, Randy Filling, Paul Walder, and Jim Hanson.

 

            Matt Poduska won the Hawkeye Downs' first IMCA Hobby Stock feature last week, and leads the standings over Jeff Selfridge, Aaron Meyer, Bryce Mitchell, and Griffin McGrath.

 

            Grandstand Gates open and Practice starts at 6pm Friday.  Racing begins at 7:30pm.  Adult Grandstand Admission is $10, Senior Citizens and Students Grandstand Admission is $7, and Children 11 and Under are Admitted for $1 in the Grandstands.

 

            Friday is the second "Neighbors Night" of the season, with residents of the Amanas, Homestead, Oxford, Tiffin, and Swisher admitted to the Grandstand for just $1 with Driver's License or other I.D.
