TRUCKS RACE STOCK CARS AT HAWKEYE DOWNS FRIDAY

(Cedar Rapids, IA  04/24/02)- Trucks will race Stock cars at Hawkeye Downs Speedway this Friday night, April 26. The “Planet Pages Mid American Stock Cars and Super Trucks Series” will roll into Hawkeye Downs, joining two of the Friday night divisions. The Stocks and Trucks each will run a full program of heats and feature, with a special match race between the top finishing Stocks and Trucks rounding out the program.

 

                Drivers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa will be in action.

 

                Also on Friday’s program are Performance Concepts Late Models and Barron Motor Supply Super Stocks. Each class will present a full program of dash, heats, and feature. The races will award points toward the “ASA Papa John’s Cup presented by Iowa Wireless.”

 

                Practice starts at 5pm Friday with Stock and Truck Time Trials at 6:15 pm. The first race is set for 7:30pm. Regular Admission Prices will be in effect, Adults $10, Senior Citizens and Students $7, Children 11 and under Free.
